SSHS Midterm/January Regents Week Reminder

Dear South Side High School Families,

This is a reminder that next week is Midterm/January Regents week at the high school, which will run from Tuesday, January 21 through Friday, January 24. During this week, students will only report to the building during times they have an exam. Please click the links below to access the Midterm/Regents schedule and also the modified bus schedule for the week. Please note, morning exams begin at 8:00 AM and afternoon exams begin at 12:00 PM.

• Students will be permitted to enter the building 30 minutes prior to the start of each testing period and will assemble in the auditorium before going to their testing location
• Food services will not be available between morning and afternoon sessions
• Students on Free/Reduced Lunch will be able to pick up breakfast and lunch in the Counseling Center during exam week
• Per NYS regulations, possession of a cell phone or smartwatch during a Regents Exam invalidates the exam. 
• Students should only bring materials they need for the exam. Backpacks, cell phones, smartwatches, headphones will not be permitted in any testing location.
• Please bring a charged calculator for any midterms/exams that require them
• If students need to make a phone call after the exam, they may use phones in the attendance, main, or counseling offices
• Students who receive testing accommodations should report to the second floor check-in area just prior to the exam to find out the classroom where they will take the exam. Thank you to SEP for providing snacks for students using accommodations.
