Summer Pre-K
The Rockville Centre Pre-K program provides a framework for supporting the developmental needs of incoming kindergarteners, while providing ample opportunity to socialize during play. The curriculum includes activities that focus on fine and gross motor coordination, language development, listening skills, number awareness, and opportunities for social and emotional development. These foundational skills are achieved through routines such as: morning meetings, read aloud, and hands on learning connected to our theme of “Under the Sea”. Classes are grouped to allow students to meet new friends from not only their home elementary building, but other buildings within the district. The program is designed to be beneficial in preparing children for a smooth transition to Kindergarten in September. Each year, Parents/Guardians are invited to spend part of the morning observing their children in action at the Pre-K Visitors' Day.

Project Great
Project Great is a before and after school care program offered to all elementary students. Project Great provides a safe, caring environment where children’s educational, social and emotional needs come first. The Staff is comprised of RVC Teachers, TA’s and Aides and there is a 10:1 student to adult ratio. One of the many great aspects of Project Great is that the program takes place in your home school. The after school program offers homework help and a healthy snack. The morning program offers hot breakfast options and play time.

Summer Enrichment Program
The Rockville Centre Summer Program provides an opportunity
for students grades K-8 to participate in a wide array of fun and educational
programs. Courses are designed for
specific age groups, focusing primarily on K-2, 3-4, and 5-8. Many diverse and fun courses are offered,
including cooking classes, music and art classes, and physical activity
classes, just to name a few. Instructors
design the courses around appropriate activities for each age group. Students come for the three-hour experience
and each day participate in 3 different classes. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to
explore their interests, try out new activities, and engage in social
activities with their peers.
